General regulations

  1. All clarinet players born after August 1st 1979 are allowed to participate in the competition.
  2. Please send your registration to

    no later than March 31st 2009 (exclusion date)
  3. The participants will be chosen by a Jury, please send a recording along with your registration form including the following works:
    • Igor Stravinsky: 3 pieces
    • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: KV 622 1. movement exposition, 2. movement without the Tutti parts (till bar  75) and 3. movement (till bar 121).
  4. To your completed registration form please add the following documents: 
    • a copy of an official document showing your date and place of birth
    • your artist picture in postcard size or as jpg
    • a short curriculum vitae including your artistic cv
    • your program for the competition
    • the CD
    Only a complete registration sent on in time will be accepted. We will not return the material. Documents must be written in German or English.
  5. The invited participants will be informed between 25th and 31st of May 2009. The piece written by Tobias PM Schneid will be included.
  6. The invited musicians have to confirm their participation by sending the fee of 100.-€ „spesenfrei für den Empfänger“ not later than June, 1st 2009 to the following bank account

    A reimbursement in case of non attendance is not possible.
  8. The jurys decisions are final and unimpeachable. Lawsuits are exclused. In any doubt the german rules on the homepage of the competition are valid.
  9. On request there will be piano accompanists for the competitors. Candidates with their own accompanists will bring him on their own costs. There will be a fee of € 200.- if you request an accompanist and then bring your own, or if you announce your own accompanist and then request one.
  10. If the candidates wish, we can arrange a hotel room.
  11. The program you send in is binding. You cannot change the program later. The organisation of the competition has the right to record the rounds and use the recordings without paying a fee to the candidates.
